You can decorate your home for Thanksgiving with these great ideas for centerpieces, mantel displays, and more!
Thanksgiving is enough of a major holiday that merits its own themed decorations. The autumn holiday depends on the orange and reds and yellows, along with an outdoorsy feel to them. Here are a few Thanksgiving decoration ideas you can use in your home.
Thanksgiving Decoration Ideas
As family and guests arrive for Thanksgiving, have them write what they are thankful for on leaf-shaped red, orange, or yellow construction paper and pin it to a cork board. The different shaped leaves and colors will make for a great entrance decoration.
Wreath of Thanks
A “Give Thanks” wreath gives a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving tone right from your front door and sets the mood before your guests walk through your door. Decorate an evergreen wreath with roses, pinecones, champagne grapes, hypericum berries, hydrangeas, and with a piece of ribbon or construction paper write “Give Thanks.”
The Classic Cornucopia
When you think of Thanksgiving decorations, the first you think of may be a fruit-stuffed cornucopia–the cone-shaped basket. Fill the cornucopia with squash, pears, and other fall fruits.
A pumpkin basket makes for a very creative and festive centerpiece for any table. Hallow the pumpkin and fill it with fall-colored flowers and pinecones. Set it on a metal grill plate and surround it with pears and leaves to complete the Thanksgiving look.
